Ice Breaker Reception

Howl at the Moon is an energetic dueling piano show that combines live music, audience interaction, and a fun party atmosphere. Featuring two talented pianists who perform hit songs across various genres, the show encourages crowd participation with requests, sing-alongs, and high-energy performances. The performers battle it out on the pianos, each trying to outdo the other with their musical skills and stage presence. It's a perfect family-friendly show for those looking to enjoy a night of music, laughter, and entertainment.

Technical Tours

Technical Tour - Interstate 84 Twin Bridges Replacement & Reconstruction

Critical replacement of two deteriorated structures located on I-84 over Roaring Brook and the active DL&W Railroad in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. The project includes replacement of the two mainline structures as well as reconfiguration of an adjacent interchange. The mainline replacement bridges will include spans up to 330 feet and be elevated approximately 125 feet above Roaring Brook. The interchange reconfiguration will replace a left-hand exit to State Route 435 with a more conventional right-hand exit and fly-over structure. The 2-span flyover bridge also includes spans greater than 300 feet

The project also includes innovative use of an abandoned circa 1883 railroad bridge carrying the former E&WV railroad over DL&W Railroad and Roaring Brook. The bridge will be rehabilitated to facilitate access during construction, then used as a key connection in a planned trail system after construction.

Technical Tour - Interstate 80 Interchange Reconstruction

The reconfiguration of the I-80 Exit 308 Interchange in East Stroudsburg responds to the significant growth in the area aiming to improve service levels, safety, and overall traffic operations. The project includes the widening of I-80 from four lanes to six lanes and will include the replacement of two bridges. The Interchange will feature two roundabouts to improve traffic circulation and reduce congestion. The construction, known as the "Eastburg Project," underscores a significant investment in infrastructure to meet the demands of a growing community and its traffic needs.

Jim Thorpe is a charming town nestled in the Pocono Mountains. Known as the "Switzerland of America" for its picturesque scenery, it offers visitors a blend of natural beauty and history. Named after the legendary Native American athlete Jim Thorpe, the town features historic Victorian architecture and attractions like the Asa Packer Mansion and the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway. Be prepared to walk the sidewalks of this small town. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, biking, and rafting. Shuttle buses will allow the visitor to spend a morning, afternoon, or both in Jim Thorpe. Enjoy lunch is on your own at one of Jim Thorpe's many quality restaurants.

Guest Tour - Bushkill Falls

Bushkill Falls

The "Niagara of Pennsylvania," Bushkill Falls is among the Keystone State's most famous scenic attractions. This unique series of eight waterfalls, nestled deep in the wooded Pocono Mountains, is accessible through an excellent network of hiking trails and bridges which afford fabulous views of the falls and the surrounding forest. High in the uplands of the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, streams of crystal pure water bubble up through rifts in primeval rock. These are the headwaters of Bushkill Creek, a great marsh alive with the call of wild birds. Trails and bridges lace the area, affording splendid views.

Bring sturdy shoes and be prepared for the 300 steps at Bushkill Falls, which are part of the various trails and boardwalks that visitors can hike to experience the falls. The trails at Bushkill Falls are not handicapped accessible or stroller friendly.
Lunch is on your own at Bushkill's restaurant.

Guest Tour - Lakota Wolf Preserve

Lakota Wolf

Lakota Wolf Preserve, located in the Pocono Mountains in Warren Country, NJ is a nonprofit dedicated to the care of, and education of, wolves, bobcats, foxes, and lynx. The preserve has become well-known attraction for visitors of all ages to see these endangered animals up close, while also learning about the importance of preservation of our wildlife. Lakota is the largest natural-habitat animal preserve with wolves, bobcat, lynx and fox in the Northeastern United States.

The preserve is all outdoors, with no shelter from inclement weather. Please dress and plan appropriately. Closed-toe / flat shoes are suggested, as are sunscreen, rain coats, umbrellas, jackets, etc. Open-back shoes are not permitted on the hiking trail. Sturdy shoes are recommended, and accessibility is not guaranteed. A shuttle bus is provided for the ½ mile walk to the wolf viewing area.
